A WEAK earthquake measuring 3.2 magnitude shook Johor at 8.59 am this morning.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), the earthquake was centred at coordinates 2.33° North and 102.79° East.
It was located about 18 kilometres south of Segamat, Johor, with a depth of 10 kilometres.
Tremors were also felt in several areas in Johor and as far south as Pahang.
MetMalaysia in a statement said it would continue to monitor the situation and update information from time to time.
A similar weak earthquake struck Johor early on Sunday (Aug 24), with tremors felt across several states.
The 4.1-magnitude quake occurred at about 6.15am, 5km west of the town of Segamat at a depth of 10km, said MetMalaysia.
The authorities said tremors were felt in most areas in Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and southern Pahang. – August 26, 2025
