PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) expects an increase in traffic of up to 2.2 million vehicles per day on its highway network in conjunction with the weekend holiday and the 68th National Day celebrations on 29 August and 1 September.

Highway users are advised to plan their journeys in advance during this holiday season to enjoy a smooth and comfortable journey.

PLUS is also introducing the latest enhancements to MyPLUS-TTA in the PLUS application to make it easier for users to plan their trips for peak days outside the festive season more smoothly on PLUS Highways and the East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2).

MyPLUS-TTA is now not only accessible during the festive season, but also available on selected peak days in conjunction with the National Day holiday on 31 August this year.

Unlike the festive version, among the latest features of MyPLUS-TTA is the saving of favorite routes under the ‘Favorite Routes’ function for faster access and smoother trip planning.

It also features a ‘Real-Time Alert’ display directly on the search results page, providing instant information on traffic conditions.

In addition, the search function has also been enhanced with a ‘drop-down menu’ option replacing the previous scrolling method to facilitate faster and more user-friendly route selection.

“Unlike the festive season where travel dates are set in advance, PLUS will continue to monitor daily traffic flows and update peak period advisories continuously, to ensure users receive the most relevant travel guidance in real time.

“The public is encouraged to download or update the PLUS app at https://bit.ly/3pO2PYs to plan their journeys more easily,” PLUS said in a statement today. – August 29, 2025
