THE Crown Prince of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, is set to marry Afzaa Fadini Datuk Abdul Aziz on 2 October at the Masjid Istana Diraja within Istana Alam Shah, Klang.

A royal reception and dinner will follow on 22 October at the Balairung Seri and Balai Santapan Diraja, respectively, both located within Istana Alam Shah.

The announcement was made in a statement by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, published today on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page.

In preparation for the wedding, the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) will hold a Yasin recital and ‘majlis doa selamat’ at all mosques across the state on 25 September. On the same day, Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Amir Shah will attend a ‘majlis doa selamat’ at Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in Shah Alam.

Tengku Amir Shah, 34, is the youngest and only son of Sultan Sharafuddin. Born on 12 December 1990 in San Francisco, he was proclaimed Raja Muda of Selangor on 3 May 2002 at the age of 11 and formally installed in October 2016. - September 22, 2025
