SABAH DAP will field a team of hardworking candidates with the hope of winning the people's trust and be part of the next state government.

Its chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe said the coming election is the right time to begin a new chapter in Sabah politics, giving the young an opportunity to speak up and be given bigger roles.

"DAP is ready to assume bigger roles and prove to the people what the party is capable of and to bring real, meaningful changes," he said.

He called on voters to give young candidates a chance to prove themselves and be part of the government.

"We want to replace old-style politics and politicians who are not dedicated in serving the poeple and simply rehash their own ideas," he said.

He stressed that only the DAP has a strong, capable team of young leaders with the experience and vision to bring fresh hope to the state.

"DAP has delivered ... both at state and federal levels. Its leaders are dedicated and committed and bring results through their hard work and honesty," he said.

He said that if there is no clear majority, DAP will work with other parties to ensure policies that place the people first and resolve day to day problems.

“My team and I will keep working hard with humility and honesty, hoping to earn the people’s trust again to serve them in the next term,” he added. - October 7, 2025
