DESPITE speculations of a Cabinet reshuffle, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has remained tight-lipped.

When approached by reporters, Anwar jokingly asked the media to submit a list of potential new Cabinet ministers for consideration.

"Please give suggestions if you have any," he said.

He was speaking to reporters after delivering the closing address at the 2025 Putrajaya Festival of Ideas, which was also attended by Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.

Earlier, at the same event, Zambry hinted that the Cabinet reshuffle would take place within the next two or three weeks.

Zambry, whose senatorship is set to expire on Dec 2, expressed uncertainty about his position as minister while presenting his speech on higher education policies.

He later clarified to reporters that his remark was meant as a joke.

“I was just joking in my speech earlier. About the Cabinet reshuffle, you need to ask the prime minister,” Zambry said. – November 7, 2025
