SUBANG Jaya police are investigating a traffic disruption caused by a long-haul lorry transporting a helicopter, which became stuck while attempting to navigate the slip road from Lebuhraya Shah Alam (KESAS) onto Jalan Persiaran Kewajipan on 4 December.

Subang Jaya Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the incident caused significant congestion after the trailer’s length made it impossible to pass the junction, obstructing other road users.

“The video circulating on TikTok shows a trailer carrying a helicopter from KESAS Highway to the Persiaran Kewajipan slip road, causing severe traffic disruption,” he stated.

Police received a report regarding the viral footage at 8.06 p.m. on Friday, prompting an investigation into the incident.

“Our preliminary findings indicate that the event occurred at approximately 4.30 p.m. on 4 December. The trailer was unable to negotiate the slip road due to the excessive length of its cargo,” said Wan Azlan in a statement on Saturday.

He highlighted that the obstruction not only affected the flow of traffic but also hindered the movement of an ambulance at the scene.

“The incident disrupted the smooth passage of vehicles, including an emergency ambulance present at the location,” he added.

At present, authorities have yet to identify the registration number of the trailer involved. The case is being investigated under Rule 9(2) LN 166/59 for causing obstruction and inconvenience to other road users.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to assist with the investigation by contacting Inspector Mohd Azizul Hakim Roslan at the Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters’ Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division on 011-28914495. - December 13, 2025
