POLICE are tracking individuals believed to be linked to the discovery of a male foetus, estimated to be about 25 weeks old, found inside a rubbish lorry in the Bukit Jalil area on Thursday.
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said investigations are ongoing and no suspects have been identified so far.
He said police have yet to obtain complete information regarding the identity of the foetus and are calling on members of the public to assist with the investigation.
“So far, we are still gathering all information from the public and we are hoping for the community’s cooperation in channelling any information related to this case.
“The identity of the foetus has yet to be determined and the individuals involved have also not been identified,” he said.
Datuk Fadil was speaking at a press conference after attending the launch of the Adopted Park programme at Dataran PPR Seri Alam, Phase Two, on Saturday.
He added that police are also investigating the original location of the bag containing the foetus before it was discovered inside the rubbish lorry.
Earlier, authorities confirmed that the foetus found in the rubbish lorry in Bukit Jalil was estimated to be 25 weeks old.
Cheras District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Aidil Bolhassan said statements have been recorded from four individuals in connection with the case.
He said the foetus was found with injuries to the abdomen, a fractured skull and a severed umbilical cord.
Previously, various news reports cited police receiving a report on the discovery of the male foetus, measuring approximately 35 centimetres in length, at 12.51pm on Thursday. - December 13, 2025
