THE Gombak District Police are currently pursuing a suspect involved in the targeted abduction and rape of a Pakistani woman who was intercepted while walking alone in Rawang.
The incident, which involved the fraudulent use of authority to intimidate the victim, has sparked a high-priority criminal investigation under the Penal Code as law enforcement officials work to identify the perpetrator who remains at large.
The harrowing ordeal began at approximately 3.45 pm when a vehicle pulled up alongside the victim as she was walking.
According to sources familiar with the investigation, a man exited the car and introduced himself as an Immigration officer before ordering the woman to enter the vehicle.
Although the victim initially resisted the demand, she eventually complied out of intense fear after the suspect issued a series of threats against her.
Once the victim was trapped inside the vehicle, the suspect’s motive shifted toward extortion. The man reportedly demanded a cash payment of RM6,000 and threatened the woman with imprisonment should she fail to provide the funds.
When the victim informed him that she did not possess such a sum, the suspect drove her to an undisclosed secondary location where the sexual assault allegedly took place. Following the attack, the suspect returned the woman to the initial vicinity and fled the scene.
Gombak District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, confirmed that a formal report had been lodged regarding the case on Thursday.
He noted that the victim was abandoned by the roadside following the assault before she sought help from the authorities.
“So far, no arrests have been made and the case is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code,” Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin stated in a press release today, confirming that while no arrests have been made yet, the case is being strictly investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
Police are currently reviewing available evidence and witness statements to track down the vehicle used in the commission of the crime. - December 23, 2025
