Authorities are treating the case as a sudden death - January 8, 2025

A MAN reported missing since Monday was found dead after his body was discovered floating in The Mines Lake, Seri Kembangan, on Wednesday afternoon.

Serdang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad, said police received information regarding the discovery at 2.25 p.m., following a call from a worker at Cruise The Mines to officers at the Sungai Besi Indah Police Station complaints counter.

“The 44-year-old man was found floating in the lake. Further checks revealed that he had been reported missing since Monday,” he stated in a Thursday press release.

The victim’s body was subsequently sent to the Forensic Department of Sultan Idris Shah Hospital, Serdang, for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
