SIX men, including three brothers, appeared in the Seremban Sessions Court on Thursday charged with causing grievous injuries using machetes against three men outside a restaurant in Lukut, Port Dickson, last month.

The accused, K A Yogentheran, 31, a plantation worker; K A Kugentheran, 26, a labourer; K A Sinielkumar, 24, a lorry assistant; S Sathia Moorthy, 29, a part-time worker; K Muniswaran, 21, a lorry assistant; and A Shelan, 27, a technician, all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

They were accused of intentionally causing serious injury to three men aged 36, 31, and 43 by attacking them with machetes capable of causing death if misused.

The incident allegedly occurred at around 8pm on 27 December 2025 in front of a restaurant at Bandar Baru Lukut, Taman Aman, Port Dickson.

The charges were framed under Section 326 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years’ imprisonment and may also include a fine or whipping upon conviction.

The court granted each accused bail of RM8,000, with conditions to report monthly to the nearest police station, surrender their passports, and avoid contacting the victims until the conclusion of the case.

The case has been fixed for re-mention on 11 March. - January 9, 2025
