FORMER Army Chief (PTD), Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan, has filed two police reports against Pembela Tanah Air (Peta) activist Chegubard following allegations of disclosure of personal information and unfounded accusations.

His lawyer, Aizul Rohan Anuar, said his client alleged that Badrul Hisham Shaharin or Chegubard had uploaded a post regarding banking information on the social media site Facebook on December 19 last year.

"Chegubard had leaked banking information belonging to Muhammad Hafizuddeain, which contained several transactions that were denied, besides stating that the dissemination of the data was illegal under the supervision of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

"He (Muhammad Hafizuddeain) also suspects the possibility of involvement from any BNM officer as well as two banking institutions in relation to the leak of personal information allegedly belonging to him," he told a press conference in front of the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters (IPD) today.

During the press conference, Muhammad Hafizuddeain was still at the Dang Wangi IPD to record his statement regarding the report made.

Earlier, Muhammad Hafizuddeain arrived at the Dang Wangi IPD with his lawyer at 12.30 pm to file a police report.

Aizul Rohan said Muhammad Hafizuddeain also filed a report regarding his owning and wearing a luxury Patek Phillipe watch.

"The claim is false and misleading because the watch is an official watch issued by the Malaysian Army (TDM) with the words 'Chief of Army'.

"The pictures of the front and back have been revealed and prove that the claim is untrue and manipulated," he said.

Aizul said his client also plans to take civil action against Chegubard, BNM and two banking institutions in relation to the disclosure of the information.

"For further action, we will wait for the results of the police investigation report, and any action will be based on the evidence obtained.

"From there, we will determine the appropriate steps for civil litigation," he said. – January 26, 2026
