THERE were no speeches or discussions, especially regarding rumours to sack Bersatu Deputy President, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, from the party.

On the other hand, Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council member, Badrolhisham Shafie, said the meeting with Bersatu President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, last night was a casual one that had been arranged some time ago.

He said that at the meeting, Muhyiddin asked all Bersatu supreme council members, MPs and ADUNS to always defend the party.

"Muhyiddin only spoke for less than 15 minutes to welcome those who attended the dinner held at his residence yesterday," he said when contacted by Berita Harian today.

Badrolhisham, who is also the Terengganu Bersatu secretary, said the dinner with the president had been arranged since the end of last year but had to be postponed as everyone was busy.

"The dinner with the president was held in a relaxed manner and was only under a few canopies.

"We were served durian and before the tazkirah program was held...last night's program was more of a friendly Ramadan celebration," he said.

Badrolhisham stressed that there was no discussion or dialogue, especially regarding the alleged sacking of Hamzah. – February 9, 2026
