A VIDEO has gone viral showing a food stall operator in Ipoh being robbed by two men who snatched her cash box and fled on a motorcycle.

The incident occurred during a live TikTok session.

Following the incident, the stall owner's daughter took to social media and appealed to the public to help find the robbers.

“Snatch theft case at my mother’s stall, Nasi Bajet Yanti in Meru, Ipoh. Whoever finds them, let me know.

“Ipoh residents, specifically in Meru, please help me find them. They so easily stole the reward of someone else’s hard work. Please, everyone, it’s not easy for a small business to find income. Repost until we find these robbers,” she wrote.

According to the district police chief, the estimated losses are around RM2,000 involving cash and a mobile phone.

"Police are now tracking down the men, and the case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft, which carries a jail term of up to seven years, a fine, or both upon conviction," he said. - May 22, 2026
