THE price of non-subsidised diesel for the period from June 11 to 17 remained the same as the previous week, at RM4.67 per litre.
In a statement, the Ministry of Finance said the price of non-subsidised RON97 also remained unchanged at 4.35 per litre, and RON95 also at RM3.72 per litre.
Diesel will continue to retail at the subsidised price of RM2.15 per litre in East Malaysia, while RON95 sold under the BUDI95 scheme will be RM1.99 per litre

“In line with the automatic price mechanism formula, the retail prices of petrol and diesel for this week are maintained following the movement of average international market prices the previous week.
“The monthly subsidy for RON95 and diesel in January 2026 was around RM700 million, before jumping to almost RM5 billion per month in March and peaking at RM7.5 billion in April 2026.
“This is following the crisis in West Asia when the price of Brent crude oil reached US$120 per barrel,” it said.
MOF said the government's subsidy liability based on current market prices is still projected to be high, at around RM3.5 billion per month.
“Of this amount, the RON95 subsidy is projected to be around RM2 billion per month, while the diesel subsidy is around RM1.5 billion per month,” it said.
MOF said that although the global petroleum market has shown a more stable trend over the past few weeks, the international petroleum market is still influenced by the uncertainty of physical supply as well as global inventory levels and seasonal demand in several major regions of the world. – June 10, 2026
