THREE friends have pleaded not guilty to raping a 13-year-old girl in a series of bushland and abandoned house assaults in the Kuala Krai district late last month.
Mohamad Aiman Firdaus Nazri, 24, Muhammad Hakimi Razlan, 23, and an unnamed 18-year-old co-accused each entered a plea of not guilty after their separate charges were read out before Sessions Court Judge Ahmad Bazli Bahruddin.
The 18-year-old stands accused of assaulting the underage victim in a roadside bush area near Kampung Ragu in Manek Urai at 10.30pm on May 27, 2026.
His co-accused, Mohamad Aiman and Muhammad Hakimi, allegedly violated the same teenager just hours later inside a derelict house in Kampung Sungai Tias, Laloh, between 1am and 1.30am on May 28, 2026.
All three defendants have been charged under Section 376 of the Penal Code, Act 574, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and whipping upon conviction.
In addition to the primary rape charges, Mohamad Aiman and Muhammad Hakimi face further prosecution for initiating non-consensual physical contact against the minor at the same abandoned property. Those secondary charges have been brought under Section 14(d) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Kamilah Che Ibrahim led the courtroom prosecution. The teenage defendant was represented by defence counsel Muhammad Yusoff Abdullah, while Muhammad Izzat Hasizan appeared on behalf of the two older men.
Judge Ahmad Bazli Bahruddin granted bail to the 18-year-old at 8,000 Ringgit with one surety. His release is subject to strict conditions, including a monthly reporting mandate at his local police station and an absolute prohibition against contacting the victim or any prosecution witnesses.
Mohamad Aiman and Muhammad Hakimi were granted bail at 12,000 Ringgit each under an identical single-surety arrangement and the same protective court conditions.
The court has scheduled the next mention of the case for July 12.- June 11, 2026
