PAKATAN Harapan (PH) will not entertain political attacks or allegations deemed defamatory throughout the remaining campaign period, instead focusing on explaining the manifesto and its offerings to the people.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) Negeri Sembilan chairman, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, said various attacks were hurled, including allegations that he was a 'DAP puppet'.
"The attacks do not affect us. What we offer to the people has been translated through the manifesto.
"That is more important than entertaining the assumptions and slander made by the opposition," he said today.
Aminuddin added that the line-up of candidates that PH is betting on this time has the experience and ability to continue the state's development agenda if given a mandate again.
In fact, he is confident that the people will be able to judge the state government's administrative record for themselves based on the performance and offers presented.
"The Prime Minister has made it public several times that I am the Menteri Besar candidate, so I need to work not 100 per cent, but 200 per cent with the entire team to ensure PH's victory.
"I will ensure that we can make progress... we see that the candidates from PH this time have the ability to compete based on their experience and abilities.
"They will be able to carry out the people’s wishes and trust well, God willing," he said.
On whether the BN-Perikatan Nasional (PN) collaboration and the 'Malay Wave' narrative pose a threat to PH in Negeri Sembilan, Aminuddin did not rule out the possibility.
"It's not that there is no influence, but I think the people of Negeri Sembilan can assess it. I see the matter as quite neutral in Negeri Sembilan.
"There may be a threat... but how big the threat is, we don't know yet. We have been hearing about this 'Malay wave' for a long time, including in the last General Election (GE), but we need to see how strong it is," he said.
Meanwhile, Amiruddin said he had expected PAS to continue the momentum of instructing its members and supporters to vote for BN candidates as was done in the 16th Johor state election.
"We had expected them to make the announcement, and I hope the public is not influenced by the words in question because we have our own identity and self-respect," he said. – July 23, 2026
