PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has positioned Pakatan Harapan (PH) as a coalition that delivers tangible benefits for all Malaysians, urging Negeri Sembilan voters to back its vision of inclusive development, clean governance and shared prosperity in the upcoming state election.
Speaking during the campaign in Sikamat, Anwar said the MADANI Government and the PH-led Negeri Sembilan administration had demonstrated that economic progress, social harmony and the protection of constitutional rights could be achieved simultaneously without excluding any community.
"In Sikamat, I reaffirmed HARAPAN's commitment to continue safeguarding the welfare of all Malaysians regardless of race, whether Malays, Chinese, Indians, Orang Asli or other communities.
"We remain steadfast in defending the rights of Malays and Bumiputera while upholding the sanctity of Islam, as has been demonstrated in Negeri Sembilan under the administration of Aminuddin Harun. However, this is not done by denying the rights of other communities."
Anwar said PH's approach was centred on ensuring every citizen benefited from economic growth while preserving national unity and mutual respect among Malaysia's diverse communities.
He stressed that protecting Malay and Bumiputera interests should go hand in hand with safeguarding the rights and dignity of all Malaysians.
"Defending the Malays is not about merely shouting 'Long Live the Malays' while insulting and questioning the loyalty of the Chinese and Indians to this country. Justice must be upheld for all. Every citizen who is loyal and contributes has a place in this nation."
Pointing to Negeri Sembilan's performance under caretaker Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, Anwar said the state had achieved record investment levels while maintaining transparent governance, prudent financial management and racial harmony.
He said these achievements reflected PH's commitment to creating jobs, attracting investment and improving the quality of life for the people.
"I appeal to the people to continue giving HARAPAN the mandate in Negeri Sembilan. We have proven our ability to develop the state, record the highest investment in its history, manage the administration with integrity and accountability, and preserve harmony and unity among all Malaysians.
"God willing, with a strong mandate, we will continue this excellence and elevate Negeri Sembilan to greater heights for the well-being of all."
During a separate engagement with the Indian community in Seremban, Anwar reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring that no community was left behind in the nation's development.
He said discussions with community leaders and residents provided valuable feedback to help shape policies that addressed their aspirations and challenges.
"As a Malay and Muslim leader, I want Malaysia to remain peaceful, harmonious and united so that every citizen, regardless of race or religion, can live safely, with dignity and prosperity."
Anwar said the MADANI Government had expanded support for the Indian community through initiatives under the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA), alongside investments in education, skills training, entrepreneurship, youth development and welfare programmes aimed at creating greater economic opportunities.
"The MADANI Government will continue to ensure that the Indian community is not marginalised. Various efforts have been implemented through the strengthening of MITRA, education, skills training, entrepreneurship, youth development and numerous welfare programmes to create greater opportunities for the community to progress."
He also credited the Negeri Sembilan government with implementing initiatives that had directly improved educational opportunities, economic participation, welfare assistance and community facilities for Indian residents across the state.
Anwar added that he would personally oversee issues affecting the Indian community at the federal level together with Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (National Unity) Datuk Seri R. Ramanan to ensure concerns were addressed more effectively.
"I will personally give direct attention to matters concerning the Indian community at the Federal Government level together with Ramanan Ramakrishnan to ensure that every issue that arises can be addressed more effectively.
"I appeal to the entire Indian community in Negeri Sembilan to continue placing its trust in HARAPAN. With a continued mandate, we will work even harder to ensure that progress, justice and prosperity are enjoyed by all Malaysians." - July 30, 2026
