Negeri crisis: More than 60 questions posed to former Excos; All instructed to return official cars
POLICE posed more than 60 questions regarding the crisis gripping Negeri Sembilan to former State Executive Council (EXCO) member Datuk Mohd Asna Amin while recording his statement today.
The Lenggeng State Assemblyman (ADUN) said the statement-recording process lasted approximately 30 minutes and was conducted separately by officers from Bukit Aman.
“So far, we have answered over 60 questions, all related to the crisis and the events that unfolded in Negeri Sembilan.
“This is because Negeri Sembilan is unique; our State Constitution is distinct compared to those of other states,” he said.
Asna stated that the statement-recording process was conducted professionally and that he had extended his full cooperation to the police.
He added that he answered every question based on his knowledge of the events in question.
According to Asna, he understood that not only the 10 former State Executive Council (EXCO) members would be summoned to give statements regarding the matter; several other individuals were also expected to be called by the police to assist with the investigation.
However, he did not disclose the identities of the other individuals being summoned.
He noted that the process of recording his statement had concluded, and he had not yet been informed whether he would need to return to provide additional statements.
Meanwhile, a team from the Classified Criminal Investigation Unit (USJT) of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department was seen leaving the MAINS Tower around 2:00 pm after completing the statement-recording process.
In a separate development, Asna confirmed that he had received instructions to return the official vehicle he used during his tenure as an EXCO member.
He stated that the vehicle had not been used since his appointment as an EXCO member was revoked, and he would comply with the instruction. – September 28, 2026
