KUALA LUMPUR – Last night, the office of Deputy Health Minister I Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali refuted reports published yesterday that he violated the movement control order.

In a statement, the minister’s office said that the reports carried by Malaysiapost.com.my and Malaysiakini are untrue.

“The two articles alleged that the deputy health minister met with a group of individuals at his office and claimed it violated the MCO that started on January 13.

“The allegations made by the two portals were untrue. The picture of the visit was taken on January 12, a day before MCO was imposed.

“Therefore, the Office of the Deputy Minister of Health I requested that the portals retract the allegations and untrue information immediately,” it said.

It added that such allegations would perpetuate negative perceptions of the deputy health minister and the Health Ministry. – The Vibes, January 14, 2021
