Police seek ‘Datuk’ in PJ restaurant assault case

KUALA LUMPUR – Police are hunting for a "Datuk" believed to have been involved in an assault on a restaurant customer at Tropicana Avenue, Petaling Jaya, last Tuesday.

In the 8.30pm incident, the suspect is believed to have hit a man after urging him to be quiet.

Petaling Jaya district police head Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the man also slapped another female customer before leaving the restaurant.

"We received a report on the incident from the victim, who works as a manager, and efforts to track the suspect are ongoing," he said today.
