BALIK PULAU – Another incident of a child found locked in a vehicle in Penang has surfaced, becoming the fourth such case in the state recorded in the past three months.
In the 3.30pm incident at Jalan Baru here yesterday, the local Fire and Rescue Department received a call concerning a 3-year-old child seen trapped in a car.
A seven-member team rushed to the scene and retrieved the child 45 minutes later, returning her to the arms of her grateful parents.
The parents had left her inside the car without realising that she would play with door locks.
Upon returning from buying food minutes later, they found that the car had been locked from the inside.
The firemen, led by officer PBK II Mohd Ferdaus Ishak, yesterday advised the parents to always take their child with them instead of leaving her unattended in the car. – The Vibes, January 23, 2021
