KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia logged 2,253 new Covid-19 cases and 11 deaths today, according to the Health Ministry.

The fresh infections bring the cumulative number of cases to 295,951, and the death toll to 1,111.

The country also records 3,085 recoveries, bringing the total discharged to 266,846.

Seven of today’s new cases are imported.

The ministry said 201 cases are in intensive care, while 93 require intubation.

Selangor records the highest number of cases today at 633, followed by Perak (545), Johor (276), Sarawak (250), Sabah (129), Kuala Lumpur (122), Penang (93) and Kelantan (73).

Negri Sembilan logged in 68 cases, while Kedah has 25; Pahang, 21; Melaka, 13; Perlis, four; and Terengganu, one.
