KUALA LUMPUR – Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim has been appointed as chairman of Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA), effective immediately.

In announcing the matter, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin said the parliamentarian’s vast experiences in governance and as an elected representative are needed to boost PR1MA’s performance.

She added that his experience as minister and Perlis menteri besar can also help PR1MA achieve its mission of providing affordable housing in the country.

She also announced the appointment of Shahidan as National Housing Corporation (NHC) chairman.

NHC, established under Zuraida’s ministry, will coordinate all housing development agencies in terms of planning and preparing financial plans for the construction of affordable houses. – Bernama, March 9, 2021
