KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia today registered a record daily high of 691 new coronavirus cases, taking the national tally to 13,504.
Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also reported another four Covid-19 deaths, pushing up the toll to 141.
A 1-year-old girl is among the four fatalities, making her the country’s youngest-ever virus death. She died at Semporna Hospital.
Dr Noor Hisham said another two clusters have been identified, one each in Perak and Sabah.
More than half of the new cases – 394 – involve the Tembok cluster in Kedah, he said.
Eighty-seven new recoveries were recorded, taking the overall figure to 10,427.
