MIRI – Sarawak’s two new Covid-19 fatalities have pushed the state’s death toll to 101 today.

The latest deaths involved a 72-year-old woman and an 88-year-old man in Sibu.

The two new fatalities were confirmed in Sibu Hospital, said the state Disaster Management Committee secretariat.

Sarawak today recorded 308 new infections.

Serian district has 66 new cases, followed by Sibu (57), Bintulu (60), Meradong (46), Miri (40), Kuching (11) and other districts with fewer than 10 cases.

There are 31 active clusters in the state.

The secretariat said Ramadan bazaars are allowed to operate starting April 12, but with strict standard operating procedures in place.

Massage centres, health spas and karaokes will be allowed to reopen Saturday. – The Vibes, March 25, 2021
