KOTA KINABALU – Warisan’s Sulabayan assemblyman Datuk Jaujan Sambakong and Bugaya’s Datin Manis Muka Mohd Dara are in quarantine after their notable absence from yesterday’s swearing-in ceremony.
Also in self-isolation is appointed assemblyman Datuk Amisa Yassin of Bersatu.
This explains their absence from yesterday’s ceremony.
The Health Ministry has made it a condition for all Sabah reps to conduct their antigen Covid-19 tests before being allowed to take their oath.
A total of 21 Sabah assemblymen from Warisan took their oath in the state assembly yesterday, confirmed by the party in a statement today.
“They underwent the RTK Antigen test as informed by the Sabah Health Department in a letter dated October 6.
“The test is a prerequisite for all assemblymen attending the swearing-in ceremony.”
Also absent from yesterday’s ceremony is appointed assemblymen SAPP Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee.
Yong told The Vibes that he was not able to make it on time as he only received his invitation in the afternoon.
All other reps from Gabungan Rakyat Sabah took their oath yesterday.
Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor was also absent from the ceremony as he was later confirmed hospitalised for being Covid-19 positive. – The Vibes, October 10, 2020
