KUALA LUMPUR – Pokok Sena MP Datuk Mahfuz Omar has submitted a notice of no confidence against the prime minister, becoming the sixth lawmaker to do so since yesterday.

The Amanah vice-president’s move follows that by five Pejuang parliamentarians, among them party founder Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The other four – Kubang Pasu MP Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah, Maszlee Malik (Simpang Renggam), Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir (Jerlun) and Datuk Shahruddin Salleh (Sri Gading) – have submitted letters to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun, seeking the tabling of the motion against Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the next Parliament sitting, which will begin on November 2.
