MIRI – Sarawak’s daily Covid-19 cases have dropped to 242, but it registered another two deaths and two clusters today. 

Of the new cases, 51 have been detected in Kuching district, followed by Sibu (27), Bintulu (20), Miri (19), Mukah (18), Tatau (15), Sarikei (11) and other districts with fewer than 10 cases each.

Meanwhile, the State Disaster Management Committee secretariat said the new deaths have brought the state’s toll to 408.

The victims are a 65-year-old woman in Miri and a 92-year-old man in Sarikei Hospital.

The Tema Saan cluster in Tebedu district saw 41 people in a resettlement scheme infected while the Nanga Belangai cluster in Tatau district involved 13 longhouse residents. – The Vibes, June 29, 2021
