KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry today announced another 865 Covid-19 cases, of which 858 are local transmissions and seven are imported.
This brings the national tally to 21,363, said Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in his daily update.
Of the fresh cases, 643 are in Sabah, he said, followed by Selangor (101), Labuan (34), Penang (26), Perak (18), Melaka (16), Kuala Lumpur (6), Negri Sembilan (4), Kedah (3), Putrajaya (3), Johor (2), Pahang (1) and Terengganu (1).
The imported infections involve three Malaysians and four foreigners returning from China, Australia, the US and Qatar.
“Of the 858 local transmissions, 767 involve Malaysians and 91 are foreigners,” said Dr Noor Hisham.
He said there are 99 patients in intensive care, with 32 on ventilators, while 455 patients have recovered.
He reported three new deaths, taking the total to 190.
