Former Air Kelantan GM among 3 remanded in probe into RM27 mil projects

KOTA BARU – A 60-year-old former Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB) general manager has been remanded for three days by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to facilitate investigations into projects worth over RM27 million from 2015 to 2019.

Also remanded are a 39-year-old AKSB officer and a 43-year-old project manager.

The trio were arrested between 4.25pm and 6.30pm after having their statements recorded at the state MACC office here yesterday.

It is understood that the anti-graft agency is probing into allegations that the suspects pocketed bribes from a company to obtain projects from AKSB, which is a subsidiary of Kelantan Menteri Besar Inc.

According to MACC sources, the arrests were made following public tip-offs.

The investigations are being conducted under Section 16 of the MACC Act 2009. – Bernama, July 9, 2021
