MIRI – Sarawak saw some respite from the long-drawn heavy Covid-19 toll with a single death recorded and no clusters detected today.

The death toll in the state since the pandemic began now stands at 432 lives lost.

The state Disaster Management Committee said the latest coronavirus death involved a man, aged 71, in the Bintulu Hospital.

There were 270 new infections recorded throughout the state today.

Kuching district recorded 74 new cases, Meradong (36), Mukah (22), Sarikei (21), Samarahan (16), Miri (14), Sibu (14), Bintulu (10) and several other districts saw less than 10 new cases each.

The committee confirmed that there are no new clusters today.

The public are again reminded to adhere to all standard operating procedures to help break the chain of infection. – The Vibes, July 11, 2021
