KUALA LUMPUR – Local employees working in Covid-19 red zones who do not show symptoms are not required to do swab tests, says Senior Minister (Defense) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
At his daily update today, Ismail clarified that swab tests are only compulsory for those who have symptoms of Covid-19 and also foreign workers working in the security and constructions sectors.
However, he suggested for everyone to do swab tests so as to prevent the emergence of new Covid-19 clusters in their workplace.
“If you can, please get tested so that you can be really certain of your condition. Sometimes we don’t know if we are unknowingly endangering our families and others,” said Ismail.
Several red zones have been declared in a number of districts in Selangor, Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan. – The Vibes, October 21, 2020
