Virus-positive Singaporean found dead in Johor home

JOHOR BARU – A Singaporean who tested positive for Covid-19 was found dead in a house in Lorong Serkam, Jalan Bakri near here today.

Muar Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Noralfatah Omar in a statement said personnel were deployed after a call came in at 10.46am.

“Upon their arrival, firemen found that the female victim was locked inside the house. They took five minutes to open the locked door.

“However, the victim, Tan Ah Csee, 80, was found dead. She was confirmed positive for Covid-19 by the Health Ministry.

“The victim’s neighbours noticed that something was amiss when she did not respond to their calls.

“They dared not enter the house because she was positive for the virus.”

He said the body has been handed over to police for further action. – Bernama, August 6, 2021
