PUTRAJAYA – Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and leaders of the civil service converged in Perdana Putra from 8am as Malaysians ponder the fate of their prime minister.

Muhyiddin was seen leaving his private residence in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, at 7.42am and waved to media personnel waiting outside, reported Bernama.

He reached Perdana Putra at 8.07am and is now chairing a cabinet meeting.

Spotted at the building were cars bringing Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani about 8.10am and Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun at 8.30am.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Tan Sri Mohammad Zuki Ali and Chief of the Defence Forces Tan Sri Affendi Buang were seen arriving at another entrance.

Spotted were vehicles carrying Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein, International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Education Minister Datuk Radzi Jidin, Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan and Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong.

Also seen were cars ferrying Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin about 9.30am, followed by Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz at 9.45am, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi at 9.49am, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin at 9.50am, National Unity Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique at 9.51am, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri at 9.54am, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob at 10.03am, and other ministers.

Also spotted was Special Adviser to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu at 10.55am.

Acryl Sani and Affendi were then seen leaving the premises about 10.10am, while Idrus left more than 10 minutes later at 10.24am.

The special cabinet meeting is expected to take an hour. After that, Muhyiddin is expected to meet the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara.

Starting about noon, Muhyiddin and those present for the meeting began leaving Perdana Putra. – The Vibes, August 16, 2021
