KUALA LUMPUR – Nearly 1,000 areas in Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor will see a scheduled water supply disruption from 9am on October 13 to 9pm on October 16.
In a statement, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said this is due to upgrading and maintenance works on critical assets that require the shutdown of the Sg Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant.
Below is a list of the affected areas:
“Water supply will be distributed in stages to consumers starting 5pm on October 14 after the upgrading and maintenance works have been completed, and the supply distribution system has been stabilised,” said Air Selangor.
“Supply is expected to fully recover at 9pm on October 16. The duration of the disruption and recovery will vary depending on the distance of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.”
The company will mobilise 105 water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises including hospitals, dialysis centres and funeral parlours.
Air Selangor will also provide 18 public water taps from October 14 to 16.
For commercial customers, four local filling stations will be made available for them to buy supply. These customers can make payments at all 10 Air Selangor customer service counters.
A complete list of the affected areas, public water taps and filling stations is available here.
