The State Disaster Management Committee secretariat today said the three brought in dead comprise two women in the Betong district aged 62 and 75, and a man in Kuching aged 49.

“They were brought into hospitals by their families and were confirmed to be dead upon arrival. Tests confirmed today that they had died of Covid-19.”

There were 144 new cases today, with Kuching recording 59, and other districts less than 20 cases each.

Committee adviser Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said the authorities are racing to vaccinate some 1.1 million Sarawakians who have yet to receive their booster shots.
