KUALA LUMPUR – Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today said that the conditional movement control orders (CMCO) imposed on the Klang Valley, and on Sabah, have helped to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Despite the announcement of a another extension of the CMCO for those locales, and an expansion to six more states in the peninsula, Dr Noor Hisham rejects the notion that the current strategy is a failure.
However, a further extension is required to successfully stamp out the pandemic.
The Health DG said a longer duration of the CMCO and tighter regulations will help to contain the spread of the virus.
