TNB halts electricity to 40 substations following flash floods

KUALA LUMPUR – Following reports of flash floods in the city centre, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has turned off electricity supply to 40 substations in the Kuala Lumpur area to ensure the safety of users.  

In a statement on its Facebook page, TNB said that efforts are being carried out to make certain that electricity can be channelled to all areas in stages, depending on the level of access and conditions of surroundings.

“If the floods worsen and continue to increase in risk while endangering the public, supply closures will be carried out at affected electrical substations.”

The areas listed by TNB are:

14. Pangsapuri Sri Jati, Jalan Jati
