KUALA LUMPUR – The PKR congress, which was set to kick-off on June 24 to June 26 has been postponed to mid-July.

According to party sources who are aware of the matter, the new dates for the PKR congress is expected to be held on July 15 to July 17.

“Yes, I can confirm the postponement, but I do not wish to elaborate further.

“Just wait for the official announcement from PKR’s election committee, which will be made in the nearest time,” the source told Getaran when contacted.

When asked further on the reasons behind the postponement such as resolving objections to the party election results as well as possible forensic audit, the source refused to divulge further details.

“Despite all that is being speculated and reported by various parties across social media platforms, I will not comment on it, let’s wait for the official announcement.

Meanwhile, PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil when contacted said any confirmation on the PKR congress dates should be referred to the party election committee and secretary-general,” he added. – The Vibes, June 10, 2022
