KUALA LUMPUR – PKR’s leadership council has assured that all complaints filed throughout the party’s polls will be resolved by its elections committee.

PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said the council acknowledges that the committee is still reviewing part of the 1,800 complaints filed during the party polls.

“The leadership council also received assurance that the elections committee will resolve all complaints and will give written replies to the complainants.

“The council also received an explanation that complaints related to disciplinary issues will be resolved by the party’s disciplinary board,” he said in a statement today.

Fahmi explained that the resolution was made during the leadership council’s meeting yesterday.

During the meeting, the council was also given a full briefing by the forensic audit firm on its findings following the party’s 2022 election.

The forensic audit firm had also found PKR’s election app, Adil, to be a trustworthy system.

“However, the forensic audit firm also acknowledged a few weaknesses at the system’s initial implementation stage.

“The council has received a full explanation from the forensic audit firm that the appropriate measures needed to address these weaknesses have been taken.

“Therefore, the council accepts the official result of the 2022 party election that was announced by the election committee,” he said.

Fahmi also confirmed that the party will proceed with its annual general congress from July 15 to 17 at the Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam. – The Vibes, July 7, 2022
