Ministry launches Sawit Anugerah Tuhan campaign

KUALA LUMPUR – The Plantation Industries and Commodities Ministry has launched the Sawit Anugerah Tuhan (Oil Palm a Gift from God) campaign, aimed at showing appreciation for the industry’s contributions to the country.

It also hopes to raise awareness on palm oil’s benefits and nutritional value.

Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali said the international- and national-level campaign, organised by the ministry through the Malaysian Palm Oil Council, will focus on the industry’s role in Malaysia’s socioeconomic development.

“The contributions of the palm oil sector to the food and non-food industries, including health products and environmental conservation, will also be emphasised,” he told a press conference after the launch in the Parliament building today.

He said the campaign will prioritise the use of new media and be educational.
