KUALA LUMPUR – With the 15th general election (GE15) fast approaching, Muda today urged Pakatan Harapan (PH) to conduct seat negotiations immediately as part of its electoral pact, said Amira Aisya Abd Aziz.

The Muda deputy president and election director said the party had already agreed to the terms of the electoral pact terms set by the PH presidential council on September 30.

This includes agreeing with PH’s prime minister candidate, that seat negotiations would not touch on incumbent seats, and that Muda must seek PH’s approval before it can negotiate with another party or coalition.

PH had then announced on October 12 that it will enter an electoral pact with Muda.

However, Amira stressed that no official seat negotiations have begun since this announcement.

“Muda would like for official seat negotiations with the PH presidential council to be held and finalised immediately so that we can face the general election as one unified voice and vision.

“We are duty bound to return the mandate back to the people,’’ she said in a statement.

PH had agreed to enter an electoral pact with Muda and PSM for the coming GE15.

PH chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said previously that there would be a committee to discuss cooperation with Muda to discuss seats and logos. – The Vibes, October 19, 2022
