PETALING JAYA – Former Ketereh MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa has voiced his disappointment on Barisan Nasional’s (BN) terrible performance in the 15th general election, describing it as a “nightmare”.

The Vibes’ Bahasa Malaysia sister portal Getaran reported that the former communications and multimedia minister’s predictions on Umno’s performance has become a reality, even though the official results have not been announced by the Election Commission (EC).

“At last, the nightmare scenario I predicted and asked to avoid has become a reality. This is very disappointing.

“The Quran spoke the truth. Divisiveness will weaken you and sap away your strength,” he said in a Facebook post.

Based on unofficial results, BN seems to be lagging behind their rival coalitions Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional.

For the record, Annuar was dropped from representing BN during this election.

Elaborating on his statement, Annuar added that he had tried to form an understanding and collaboration with other parties but he was labelled as a traitor, even though what he was seeking was racial unity.

“So, where do we go next? Forming a new alliance with a coalition that we rejected? Are we going to go against the decision made during our annual general meeting?

“Back down, enough with this destruction and listen to the voices of the people and understand their needs. Stop being arrogant,” said Annuar. – The Vibes, November 20, 2022
