PAS will hold a meeting with Gerakan and the Malaysian Indian People's Party (MIPP) to discuss the party's current position in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) this week.
PAS central committee member and PN information chief, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, said PAS's decision to stop political cooperation with Bersatu did not involve PN.
"PAS's decision to stop political cooperation with Bersatu is for the common good after various efforts were made, but the situation has not changed.
"However, the decision so far only involves the feud between the two parties and does not involve PN at all," he said in a statement on Facebook.
He said, PAS is committed to the politics of multi-racial cooperation as well as mature and prosperous politics.
PAS, according to the former Member of Parliament for Ketereh, appreciates the positive attitude of Gerakan and MIPP in the context of PN.
"These two parties have a big role they can play in the country. PAS will ensure that the next action in the PN is mandatory based on the PN Constitution and not on the 'superiority' attitude of individuals or any one party.
"The PAS-Gerakan-MIPP consultation has been arranged and hastened. God willing," he said.
Yesterday, PAS announced the immediate termination of political cooperation with Bersatu after examining the position and direction of relations between the two parties.
The decision was reached in a special meeting chaired by PAS President, Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang. – June 10, 2026
