KUALA LUMPUR – Those unhappy with the formation of the unity government under the stewardship of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should question both Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang over their decision to turn down the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s proposal for a unity government.
Speaking in a TikTok video posted in the wee hours of the morning, PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli questioned whether the duo’s refusal went hand in hand with what PN is campaigning to safeguard Malays and their institutions.

“By refusing the king’s proposal, isn’t that considered going against Perikatan Nasional (PN)’s campaign which is to safeguard the Malays and their institutions?”
Critics of the new unity government, Rafizi said, should also question both Muhyiddin and Hadi on why did they want to form the government using the same tactic as the Sheraton Move, which is by “stealing” MPs from other parties despite the people’s clear rejection of the “political traitors” during GE15.
“The people have clearly rejected almost all MPs involved in the Sheraton Move.
“So, what is the use of passing the anti-hopping law if it is going to be set aside to pursue personal yearning to become the government of the day?
“Does Muhyiddin not realise that if he continues to play the same tactic as he did in the Sheraton Move, he may well become the shortest-serving prime minister?” he questioned further.
As such, Rafizi called on PN to act as a formidable opposition and suggested the coalition to beat his personal record of being locked up and sued for calling out corruption and abuse of power in the past.
He also urged PN to do the same by exposing any corruption and abuse of power by the Anwar-led administration.
“If there’s any abuse of power or corruption on our part, expose them as I did before.
“If possible, to the point of breaking my record of being put into lockup multiple times and sued 16 times.
