KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia recorded another 1,212 cases of Covid-19 today with 2,112 recoveries, said Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham.

In his daily briefing, he said another three deaths were recorded today, bringing the toll to 360 cases since the pandemic began earlier this year.

He said 113 cases are under intensive care while 42 require intubation.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases at 402, followed by Sabah with 308 and Negri Sembilan at 141. He said nine cases were imported.

The three deaths were of a 66-year-old man in Alor Star, Kedah; a 58-year-old man in Labuan; and a 22-year-old man in Lahad Datu, Sabah.

Noor Hisham said three new clusters were identified today. 

The Jalan Lapan cluster involves the Hulu Langat, Cheras, Kepong, Titiwangsa, and Lembah Pantai districts, where 25 people were found to be positive.

The Batu Sembilan cluster involves the Kuala Langat, Klang Petaling, and Kuala Selangor districts, and has 19 positive cases.

The Nibong cluster in Johor Baru has 10 cases.

Overall, the total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 65,697 while 54,759 cases have recovered and been discharged. Active cases, he said, are at 10,578.

Penang recorded 60 cases, while Perak saw an increase of 43 cases, 54 in Johor, and 31 in Kedah.

Sarawak and Pahang recorded two cases each while Putrajaya and Kelantan recorded one case each, while Perlis and Melaka have no new cases. – The Vibes, November 30, 2020
