KUALA LUMPUR – The 2022 Bersatu general assembly is set to take place from March 3 to 5, announced party secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin today.

He said that the assembly will be followed by the party branches’ annual meetings from July 1 to August 31, while divisional wings and divisional assemblies will hold theirs on October 7 and 21 respectively.

He said that the dates were determined during a Bersatu supreme council meeting yesterday.

Hamzah, who is also Larut MP, said that the meeting also discussed a post-mortem report on the recent 15th general election (GE15).

“The meeting also reviewed the party’s strategies to face the upcoming state elections,” he said in a statement today.

“Elections for the branch and divisional committees as well as the supreme council for the new term will be held on the dates specified, in line with the party’s constitution.”

Voters from six states, namely Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Penang, Selangor, and Negri Sembilan, will be heading to the polls in the near future after their respective assemblies were not dissolved during GE15. – The Vibes, January 20, 2023
