KUALA LUMPUR – The first ever Kuala Lumpur Bike Show (KLBS ‘23) is expected to attract about 120,000 visitors as the event is scheduled to take place at Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre from August 24 -27.
KLBS ‘23, organised by Moventuum Sdn Bhd and Roda-Roda Magazine, aims to become the region’s main event for two-wheelers and attract an international audience.
The four-day event will run from 10am until 10pm at Tun Razak Hall three and four, Pelantaran Putra, and Merdeka Hall.
Tickets for the show will go on sale from April 1 onwards and early bird tickets are priced at RM28 for the single-day pass while the four-day pass is priced at RM45. Early-bird tickets should be purchased before May 31.
For children, the early-bird ticket prices are at RM14 for the single-day pass and RM23 for the four-day pass.
After May 31, tickets will be available at RM38 (adult) and RM19 (children ages 12 and below) for the single-day pass, while the four-day pass is priced at RM68 (adult) and RM38 (children 12 years old and below) .
Students, senior citizens, and the differently abled can enjoy concession rates at RM24 for the single-day pass and RM40 for the four-day pass.

Meanwhile, KLBS ‘23 will feature a range of components, including the launching of new models and innovations in the region, presentations on biking-related topics, technical workshops, showrooms and sales floors, and outdoor activities.
Moventuum managing director Farouk Nurish said that most motorcycle-based events held in Malaysia and the region have always been gathering-centric.
“While some hybrid events include motorcycles as a component of the show, there has never been a dedicated ‘two-wheeler’ event that can be classified as a premium international exhibition.
“KLBS ‘23 consists of numerous elements of great impact, allowing industry players to showcase their latest products and services, while visitors can experience a new emotional experience in the two-wheeler lifestyle,” he said.
Farouk added that the Covid-19 pandemic had a devastating effect on the tourism and events industries in Malaysia.
“As we move forward from the pandemic, KLBS ’23 is part of the revival for both industries and is expected to have a positive impact as we anticipate more events will follow to cater to a wider audience – especially events with motorcycles and bicycles that appeal to the masses in the region,” he added.
The event will not just be promoted locally but there will be a concerted effort to target bikers and biking enthusiasts from neighbouring countries like Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia, with a wider campaign that will also target audiences across Asia.
Meanwhile, Roda-Roda Magazine director Yusseri Yusoff said the magazine has been a staple in the Malaysian motorcycle industry since the 1980s and over the decades, has managed to help create communities of like-minded motorcycle enthusiasts in every size and category.
“An event like this is something that I have always wanted Roda-Roda to be a part of. It is all about bikes, the riders, and the passion we have for the machines,” he said.
Yusseri said the show will have every type of motorcycle, ranging from scooters, superbikes, sports tourers, and adventurers on the tarmac and in the dirt.
“KLBS ‘23 will offer something for every type of biker. We have invited several biking groups and associations to be a part of the show and showcase their activities, encouraging the growth of biking communities and activities organised around bikes,” he said. – The Vibes, March 21, 2023
