KUALA LUMPUR – The Supplementary Supply Bill (2022) 2023 was tabled in Parliament today.
The bill was presented by Deputy Finance Minister I Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan in front of Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Mohd Nor.
Ahmad Maslan said it will be presented for a second reading during this sitting.
According to the blue paper circulated in Parliament today, the Supplementary Supply Bill (2022) 2023 involves the disbursement of an amount not exceeding RM60.17 billion from the consolidated fund for additional expenditures for services and purposes specified in the schedule for the year 2022, that were not allocated or which were not fully provided for by the Supply Act 2022 (Act A1638).
The additional expenditure will involve 10 services. The Treasury General Services received the highest allocation of RM52,776,595,400, followed by the Allocation to the Statutory Fund (RM2,241,548,100) and the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (RM2,058,146,000).
Meanwhile, the Treasury received an allocation of RM1,191,328,300, the Education Ministry (RM803,613,600), the Health Ministry (RM676,518,300), the Defence Ministry (RM303,726,600), the Election Commission (RM84,822,600), the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry (RM24 ,531,500) and the National Unity Ministry (RM14,097,600). – Bernama, March 27, 2023
