KOTA KINABALU – Sabah Umno will be a “good boy” until the next state election, its chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said.

“We will wait until the next election, because we are good boys during Ramadan,” he told reporters here after being asked of his view of party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi saying that Umno will not rock the boat in Sabah until the next state election.

Bung Moktar, who also heads the Sabah Umno political bureau, said a study would also be done to look for new political partners in the upcoming state election, which is due in 2025.

“Such matters must be discussed, we want a partner who will bring about an election win.

“We will be notified which party will be our partners when the time comes,” said Bung, while not dismissing Warisan as one of the potential partners.

“We will consider not only Warisan but any party that could bring an election for us will be considered,” he said.

Earlier, Bung Moktar said Sabah Umno is making plans to stay relevant in present times, saying that he would be making changes in the state chapter’s information, election and social media units so they could bring about a “revolution” within the state. – The Vibes, April 9, 2023
